Council spends £15,000 on refitting Forde House toilets

by Alistair Dewhirst on 31 March, 2013

Toilets used by councillors are being refitted at a cost to the taxpayer of around £15,000 by Teignbridge Council.

The re-vamped facilities are on the first floor of Forde House, the council’s head office and used by staff and councillors.

The gents toilets have already been re-fitted and work is currently underway on the ladies loos.

I think it would have been better to have spent the money sprucing up the public toilets in Teignbridge, said local councillor Alistair Dewhirst

“Although the replaced toilets in the council’s head office had been there for some years, they were perfectly functional and tidy. This money could have been put to better use,” added Alistair
